I'm running the ProComp Extreme AT's on my superduty, and they've been great so far. Not sure how they handle thick mud, as I don't take my truck mudding under any circumstances, but they've been awesome for driving around FSR's and the edges of farm fields when hunting. Good hwy manners, and very quiet.

My last set of tires on this truck were 36" Interco SSR's, which were indestructible, but almost caused a divorce over the noise levels. Amy hated them. I loved them offroad, hated them on the hwy.

I had BFG MT's on my Jeep, and they were fantastic on everything but ice. I think siping would help them immensely.

Both Cooper and Toyo make a very decent product. Please don't make the mistake I did Micheal and get a set of the KM2s, I've been pretty disappointed with them (probably because my previous bunch were TrXus MTs and Goodyear MT/Rs, which IMHO are better than the BFGs anyways). The one flat aside (meh, I gueeeess it could happen to any tire) they're not wearing very well, and they all seem to round off like mine. Even the old school MTs were better. The TrXus aren't the best street tire perhaps, but they're such a great all around tire for an MT and they do more than they even need to. I wish I went this route again. They always felt sure-footed.

I've been debating the tire issue myself as well. I was going to pick up some 16s again and put some 255/16s on the Ranger, but being that someone mentioned I can get Toyo MTs in 33x10.5 I might go that route since I'm on 15s right now, and I like the wheels I have. They're expensive, but from everything I've been reading the last while (ok, I'll admit, its not a lot but I do read) they've been getting nothing but praise and good reviews. They have a lot of syping which is good for our seasons, and they boast a good casing (same with the Coopers). My .02 LR

Doing a quick search, I remember it now: Cooper STTs and the Toyo Open Country MTs are the ones that are very similar, I would personally go with which ever one you could get in cheaper. I'm pretty sure they're casings are pretty close to the same strength-wise.

The Cooper S/T-Cs are good tires as well (had some on my '86 Toyota), but they wear rather quickly on the road. They do work well in the bush though, especially on gravel. They have a solid shoulder edge so they corner well in the loose stuff. LR

The Interco Trxus MT is a great all around tire. They are even siped.

Those Truxus MT's are what Sero and I have on our trucks, there a great tire!!! Unstoppable in the snow and nice and quiet for a mud tire.

I have about 25k kms on mine and they are at about 60% tread at the least. They have been a great tire and were easy to balanced surprisingly.

I have had them on 2 vehicles, my Grand Cherokee and a half ton. Both times I got about 60,000km with no problems. I loved them! i would not hesitate to use them again. Give Rich at National in Langley a call...tell him I sent ya!

Thanks impressive millage on a soft tire like this!! One thing that has surprised me is that the tires have not gotten much louder as they have worn. The BFG KM's I had before were rumbley and loud by this point. I did get them used though so who knows what there life was like before me.

I do rotate the tires every oil change.

Rotation and air pressure is the key. I rotated with 5 on the grand and 4 on the truck.
