So my next steps with the truck (this weekend I hope) is to get the AC finished 100% then charged ASAP. Get the exhaust fabbed and finished. Then look at getting the front springs off and to the spring place for dearching.

Well on Saturday I got the last of the A/C installed and bolted together. Also got he belt on and ran the truck for a min and found that the tensioner was seized and melting the belt. SO I took that off and am ordering a new one from Toyota today. Once that is done its all ready for a vac down and charge. Steve and I will do that one week night maybe later this week if I can get the parts.
I'm also going to try and line it up so that I can get the truck into Randy's shop for the tail pipe work on the same day as the A/C (only need one permit then). Then I can get it air cared and ready for the road as far as that is concerned. We are also going to look at the rear bumper ends as well and see what we can come up with there.

I'm also getting the last pieces together for the winch install. I have the mounting nuts on order, I have also got new GR 8 mounting hardware.
I am looking at rebuilding my winch now as mine is in rough shape and about 20 years old. I found this good write up on line and thought I would post this here for any that needs to do this. http://www.fourwheeler.com/techartic...wn/photos.html Just need to get my serial number off of my winch and then order some parts.

Update:
I got the new tensioner for the A/C from Lordco as the Toyota part was going to be $130 my cost. I got it from Lordco for $40, normally I would spend the money on the Toyota part but seeing as this is not a critical system in the operation of the truck I went with the cheap part. I have also ordered all the parts needed to reseal and lube the winch, I will be picking that all up this afternoon. Also ordered all the parts to finish off the ARB Air locker install. They should be here in a couple of weeks, just in time for the install. This weekend I am going to Tacoma to pick up a tail gate for my truck (color match and not dents like mine). I will also be picking up some rear leafs off a PU to use to make my custom front leaf packs. As well as a Grey dash pad that is not cracked. Jeremy

Sounds like the truck is a keeper eh? That's a pretty long list of stuff going on. Cool...

the only thing that is still an unknown is the front springs, I am going to try and build a leaf pack that will lower the truck about 2" but also give me about 100-200lbs more spring rate. I am also going to make my self a set of 3.5" eye to eye shackles fro the front to assist with lowering and also limit the droop a bit.

Was hoping to get a bunch done on the truck over the next few weeks, I have a goal of Easter long to have it done and on the road for a camp trip. I found out last night that a family member lost her battle with Cancer and I will not be able to get much done over to next week or two. I leave for Winnipeg Thursday.

Thanks,
I was able to work on it for an hour or so last night. I got the winch all torn apart and it looks great inside. There was no rust or moisture, the grease looked like it was only a few years old and still in good shape. All the plastic bushings are like new and fine. After I opened it I almost bolted it right back together again but decided to clean out the old grease and put in the new marine grade grease I got for it. So I have it in the solvent tank at home and will clean it all up tonight. I'm also going to sand down and seal the cable roller as its got some rust and wear on it.
