I have heard a lot of good about the truxxus and Kal tire was showing a set of Nokian's i think they were vativa's and they were cheap but i still like the sxt's due to the tread pattern,They look more like an A/T rather than a noisey chunky mud chucker. This truck will see 85 percent pavement or more with a fair bit of dirt roads, some trail and virtually no mud if i can help it.
If i could get a BFG A/T that could with stand the punctures it would be an easy choice but i have the added weight of the camper to think about also and we are running the sxt's on a 1 ton dodge diesel right now and they are wearing fine. I have to the 1st of march to decide, thats when i place the order for whatever i decide on.Just so i had some time to make an educated decision and not buy the first pretty tire i see lol. I want to get the truck set up for a trip to alaska even though i have my doubts its going to happen but at least i can go hunting in style.

Hey Micheal, consider this: how many times did you ever hear of me complaining about my TrXus tires? I don't believe ever once. How many times have I whined about the KM2s? Lots.
I did about 85% highway driving on the TrXus, commuting back and forth between Abby and Delta and they wore fine. Some wonky TTB alignment issues didn't help much, but I still got 3 years out of them before I got a couple of roofing nails through the sidewalls being somewhere I shouldn't have been (any tire would have failed then). They last well, their traction for any MT and most ATs is unparalleled. They may not be cheap, but they are a damn good tire for their money. I would call it a toss up between the Interco TrXus, Toyo Open Country MTs, and the Cooper STTs - whichever one comes in the cheapest. LR
